Chamber Music Summer School – Mount Buller runs each January at the Mount Buller Ski village situated in the north-eastern alps of Victoria. This residential school caters for up to 12 chamber groups, composed mainly of string players. In 2027 the Summer School is able to accommodate 3 groups with piano. Planning of the Summer school is carried out each year by an experienced committee who also attend as students.
The 41st Summer school will run from Sunday 17th – Sunday 24th January 2027. This would run in accordance with a strict Covid plan in place, and we ask that all participants are fully vaccinated.
Sophie Rowell (violin) is the Artistic Director and she has invited a distinguished and eminent team of colleagues to lead the summer school: Francesca Hiew (violin), Thomas Chawner (viola), Blair Harris (cello), Rachael Tobin (cello) and Laurence Matheson (piano).
